This will depend on the system/symptom you're diagnosing. In general, our guides are designed for technicians in a shop setting with access to standard shop and diagnostic equipment. An OE or highly capable aftermarket scan tool, electrical diagnostic equipment like a multimeter and oscilloscope, and engine diagnostic equipment like a fuel pressure gauge and compression test kit are a few examples.
No, the fundamental technical information and diagnostic strategies throughout DiagFX are applicable to all makes. The vast majority of systems, components, and circuits work the same or similarly across the industry. A few examples are CAN systems, engine control systems, and HVAC systems.
The short answer is no. DiagFX is built for working automotive technicians with access to shop equipment and a full range of diagnostic tools. However, if you're pursuing a career as an automotive technician then our training courses will be great for you, but you may find your experience limited when using the diagnostic guides.
At this time we do not offer live diagnostic support. While we are happy to provide support and answer any questions about diagnostic modules and training course, we do not provide direct, vehicle specific diagnostic support.
